How long have you been with PRC?
I joined PRC in March 2023 through the Learn to Run (LTR) program.
What made you start running?
I originally started running to lose weight and get healthier, but honestly I hated it. I tried many times over the years to get into running, but it never stuck. After taking a break, I decided to sign up for LTR to reset and build a healthier routine. Somewhere along the way, something changed and I actually started to enjoy it. Now I crave a good run. It clears my head and keeps me sane.
What is your best/worst run?
My best run was Cape to Cabot in 2025. I had no finish time goal and limited time to train, but I really just wanted to prove to myself I could do it. The weather was awful and I’ve never been so cold, but seeing other club members cheering along the way made it even more memorable!
My toughest run was the Will Run for Beer race in 2022. It was definitely a challenge, but also a great learning experience.
Favorite running shoe?
Brooks Glycerin 20s
How do you track your runs?
Garmin Forerunner 255s synced with Strava.
Do you have a current running goal?
Right now I don’t have a specific race goal. I’m focused on enjoying my runs, staying active, and running when it fits into life.
Best training tip you can provide/received?
Some runs will feel great and others won’t, and that’s normal. The key is to run through both and keep showing up.
